Mermaid of Moalboal

Our Mermaid has a Beautiful story to tell:

Born in Moalboal in 2020 during Covid Pandemic, she is a 2 meter high beauty of 500Kg.

She finds the perfect spot on a coral garden at 6 meter deep, at the edge of a vertical wall, so she can be the guardian of the sea creatures.

In December 2021, Typhoon Odette was able to seduce her for a trip to visit the Abyss and its Master, Poseidon. She disappered.

A few months after the tragedy, during a dive, we found her alone and crying at 58m deep, little bit hurt at the elbow. A scuba deep rescue mission  was organised to brought her back on the reef.

She is so happy to be back that she allows new corals to grow on her, helping the reef to recover from Odette's attack.

Pescador is the little tiny island you can see from Moalboal.  We can only access there via our speed boat. It will take maximum 10-15 minutes to reach the island.

On the way to Pescador, if the sea is quiet enough we may be lucky to have dolphins accompany us.

Once in Pescador, all around is just a vertiginous drop off wall with many corals. You may also discover the famous skull cave (also called the cathedral)

Only for experienced and certified freedivers able to already dive easily to minimum 30m. (AIDA3 - PADI MASTER - W2 Molchanovs)

The activity is only organized in the afternoon (morning is usually over packed with scuba divers).

It may be cancelled in case of bad sea conditions or strong current.
